It is important to celebrate local tradition. This episode focuses on the traditional elements of Wandy's coming wedding day, and starts a conversation around African culture represented in wedding ceremonies.
In this three part introductory episode, we focused on the influence that relationships and social factors played on the life of this season's first guest, the newly married, Wandisile Mavuso. We will look deeper into these themes as the season progresses and as we meet with other women like Wandy. To round out this intro, I wanted to focus on Wandy’s views on culture, and how that played a role in her choices leading up to her big day.
